4th Vuelta Costa del Sol A2 Sailing Regatta

The 4th edition of the Vuelta Costa del Sol A2 Sailing Regatta is set to be a thrilling event on our coast from December 6 to 10. With around thirty boats expected to participate, this regatta has become a highlight of the national calendar. Borja Vivas, the Councillor for Sports of the Malaga City Council, along with Manuel Calderón, the president of the El Candado Club, and Antonio Díaz, the general director of Tourism and Planning of Costa del Sol, have shared exciting details about this event organized by the club.

Consisting of three stages, the regatta will kick take place on

  1. Stage 1: Wednesday, December 6, covering a distance of 52 miles from Malaga to Sotogrande.
  2. Stage 2:  Thursday the 7th, spanning 79 miles from Sotogrande to Marina del Este, making it the longest leg of the race.
  3. Stage 3:  Saturday the 9th, the third and last stage will see the boats sail 30 miles from Marina del Este back to Malaga.

In total, the regatta will cover a challenging 161 miles, putting the boat's tuning and crew's skills to the test, as well as requiring strategic decision-making to navigate the course successfully.
