Summer in Campo de Gibraltar is bustling with tourist, cultural, and sporting activities. The spotlight shines on the iconic International Polo Tournament, a prestigious event organized by Ayala that has been a staple for 53 years.

**International Polo Tournament of Andalusia**

From July 23 to August 31, top players from around the globe, including the legendary [Adolfo Cambiaso](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adolfo_Cambiaso), will gather at the two club headquarters to compete for the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Cups, with the latter being a part of the world circuit. With a thousand horses, over 20 international organizations, and a myriad of parallel activities, this tournament serves as the social and sporting highlight of the summer in Campo de Gibraltar.

Local Economic Impact

The presence of notable figures such as Susana Pérez Custodio, President of the Mancomunidad, and Isabel Sánchez, the general director of Events and Sports Facilities of the Junta de Andalucía, at the summer season presentation underscores the significance of this event. Sánchez highlighted that a 25% increase in spectators is expected compared to the previous year, with a substantial economic impact estimated to be around 12 million euros for Campo de Gibraltar.

The commitment of Andalusia to support high-profile competitions like this is evident, with 286 such events held in the region last year. Campo de Gibraltar's pivotal role in the world of polo is emphasized, showcasing the area as a hub for this sport. The success of LIV Golf de Valderrama further solidifies the region's reputation for hosting major events that boost tourism, employment, and the economy while enhancing its overall image.

Families attending the International Polo Tournament in Campo de Gibraltar are in for a treat as entry to the polo matches is completely *free*. Not only can spectators enjoy the thrilling sporting showdowns, but the Ayala Los Pinos venue also offers a wide range of activities for all ages to partake in. From sporting duels to gourmet food stalls and artisanal craft vendors for the adults, there is something for everyone to enjoy while soaking in the excitement of world-class polo matches.
